Introducing…. OUR TOP 2 FINALIST for the Pay It Forward 2021.
Remember to vote daily on who you’d like to see as our 2021 Pay It Forward Family.
Natasha & Marc (Poplar Ridge)
Natasha and Marc are a wonderful couple with dreams of some very special basement upgrades! Their young son Charlie suffered a viral infection called CMV before birth, and just like our own daughter Georgia, Charlie has permanent differences and disabilities because of this virus. Without being able to predict what the future could look like for their family, Natasha & Marc had the fantastic idea to create a suite in their basement that would be accessible for people of all abilities. In the short term this addition to their beautiful acreage near Sylvan Lake could provide a little extra rental income, or a fresh, appealing space for an extra caregiver for Charlie. In the long term we would be building peace of mind for a flexible & secure future for this amazing family no matter what lies ahead. What could be better than that?!

Michelle & Colin (Bowden)
We received EIGHT! nominations for this amazing couple from friends who wanted to let us know how much some strategic renovations could improve their life. At age 17 Colin was in a terrible car accident that left him instantly paralyzed. Because the home he now shares with his partner Michelle is not wheelchair accessible, Colin has no way to enter or exit the house without crawling on the floor. Every day necessities like letting their sweet dog out into the backyard are not accessible from the main floor of this older character home. And don’t even get us started on how much better the bathroom could function! We have some great ideas and would LOVE to help Colin & Michelle start their new life together in a safe & accessible home that fits their needs and provides the basic dignities that most of us take for granted.

Our Pay It Forward 2021 Runner Ups
Rebecca (Innisfail)
Imagine the best mom you’ve ever met and the warmest, most genuine friend you could ever ask for. Now add some delicious cookies. And that’s Rebecca. Always putting her family and others ahead of herself, she would never expect something big & expensive just for her. But guess what? We think Rebecca deserves a gorgeous new chef’s kitchen! She is a FABULOUS cook & baker, with a culinary school background. Currently working at home to raise two rambunctious and hungry boys, we would LOVE to transform Rebecca’s dated and less than functional kitchen into her dream cooking & entertaining space. We also want free cookies for life, so we hope she gets lots of votes!

Carrie (Red Deer)
Now that you’re finished admiring Landon & Locklin, the CUTEST twin babies around, let us tell you a little bit about this delightful family. When she’s not chasing her two precious mini movers & shakers full time, Carrie is a social worker focused on improving the lives of others. Either way we think she has her hands full, so we would really like to take care of a few things that could make Carrie’s home look better & feel more complete! Finishing & upgrading some less than ideal DIY projects would be a great start to improving the flow & function of this cozy home in Red Deer. Just think of all the boots, mitts, coats & hats Carrie is going to need spots for in her entry way for starters. And we didn’t even mention all the rocks & sticks in her future. We can help with that.
